The Archbishop of Canterbury says the adoption of certain aspects of Sharia law in the UK “seems unavoidable”.
Quite a bizarre statement from the head of the church of England, to say the least. You have to wonder as to his intentions here. Is he trying to stoke ill feeling towards Muslims? That is surely the result of implying that 97% of people in the UK should live by the laws or beliefs of just 3% of the population.
In Brighton and Hove for example, there are more Jedi than Muslims, would he also advocate a change to laws in that area to account for the difficult choices that Jedi must make each day?
At a time when Britain is waking up to the reality that there is no god, and that religion is the source of most of the worlds ills, he is claiming that the laws of the land should be changed to accommodate a small percentage of the populations religion. Clearly the man is barking, after all he believes that an all powerful being created the world in seven days, but unfortunately this is what many extremists believe, and he is playing right into their hands.
The religion of peace has already begun to lash out at Nazir-Ali who had the audacity to suggest that there are no go areas for non Muslims, clearly there are also no say rules as well, and he broke them. He has had death threats and is now under police protection.
