Here we are in November and Ms Kirkbride has broken her promise to resign and thinks the people of Bromsgrove want her to stay! WE WANT HER DRIVEN OUT OF BROMSGROVE! The woman is demented. yes, the local Conservative Association want her to stay. The Chairman's wife is JK's secretary and his daughter worked for her at one time! Turkeys are hardly going to vote for Christmas, are they? David Cameron accepted her resignation and, as far as I know, he hasn't allowed her to withdraw it. Julie Kirkbride and her husband have barely had to touch their generous salaries for many years as every last item they have purchased has been claimed for. Shame on them.

Straw the Communist and Fabian in a position of absolute trust in Britain is folly, intime Britain will see this treason for what it is.

He's quick to throw dirt at others yet his own gets buried with a D notice ie paedophile brother then the backroom deals to hush up his sons drug dealing.

Lastly a reason i'd not give him the time of day, in the 80s Falkland war his speech where he said: "There is nothing worth saving about the English race"
Recently his draconian measure's against the Falkland islanders themselves'
Show this man to be the Wolf in Sheeps clothing that Fabians are.

I'd vote Satan into power before putting an X next to any Fabian Fascists' name.

That rules out the present Government entirely!!

Some Fascists' appear to be acceptable in the UK.

Public private partnership--PFIs = soft Fascism

Our worst export to America!

In America today, the increasingly rough-shod violation of constitutional rights by government agents in the name of "protecting the environment" or the "war on drugs" is an indication of how far we are proceeding in this direction.

Intellectually, fascism is far more dishonest than socialism, which at least has the courage to assert legal ownership of the economy and thus assume the legal responsibility for its functioning.

Fascism places the responsibility for the economy on business, which is rendered seemingly private, with the facade of private ownership. The result of both socialism and fascism is the same: the destruction of economic freedom, replacing the individual's choice of how to make a peaceful, honest living with state edicts. Fascism accomplishes this, however, more insidiously.

Instead of being a straightforward employee of the government, you and I are told that our lives and businesses are still private, while any attempt to act as such is proscribed by a myriad of regulations-until we are trapped and immobilized in Washington's web.

We become enmeshed in this web because it has been spun around us so slowly-strand by strand over many years-so slowly that we have barely noticed. We could call this slow spinning of the fascist web "Fabian Fascism."

There is alot of talk of Griffin and Farage being placemen, talk that rings true, when there's an huge open goal and neither dare to put the boot in.

300 Fabians in Westminster across all parties' mainly though in what poses to be Labour.
Rothschild Bankers Fabians and Labour?

The National Socialists party of Adolf Hitler [ Nazi] didn't do anything close to the damage Fabians have done to this country.

News Blackout by Government orders'

Jack Straw hopefully one day will pay the debt in full, that he owes to Britain and the British people.

I loath the very sight of him and his fellow Wolves!!

Well, I can honestly say I'm surprised at the number of ''keyboard warriors'' on here...

Ok, so Bear Grylls is a bit of a show-boat. But he's making an 'interesting' survival series. If he didn't make it look more exciting, more dangerous than it really is, would make for a bit of boring T.V...

I am in the military, a full-time regular soldier, and with-held my name for obvious reasons. I am training for the 22 SAS selection process currently, so have a good idea what it's about.

The 21 and 23 SAS regiments have to undergo the SAME selection process and training, but in smaller chunks. It's so that they can work their civvy jobs concurrently. But this also means they can revise, recover and rest between phases. Something which the regular 22 selection recruits CANNOT do. Once they start, they have to muscle through the 6 months in one go.

What I'm trying to say is, whatever way you look at this, BOTH selection processes are INSANELY tough. Only the very, absolute best are allowed to pass. So for all you warriors out there, fat, pie-eating, beer drinking loosers - men like Bear Grylls MADE something of their lives. He served his country, and put his life on the line.

Something that you folks just don't get. So lay off the man. Yeah, he exaggerates, and maybe he should keep it on the down-low, but HE DID IT. Most of you didn't... Nor would, or could you. It takes real guts, determination, training, and such a tough attitude to pass...

So c'mon, give him a break. Either that, or YOU pass the 22 selection, then successfully complete more than 3 years service. THEN, and only then do you have the right to shoot-down REAL men like Bear.

Oh, and grow up.

Thanks for the comment Andy.

<blockquote>
With regards to progress, officers have been issued batons and CS and stab vests due to the threat they face in modern day policing.
</blockquote>

Yes, and that threat is us! Most of the time it seems that CS gas and tasers are used to make an arrest quicker and to ensure compliance, like when they used CS gas at a 10 year olds party recently, spraying her and her friends. No-one there was a threat, but they broke out the CS gas anyway.

Besides, if the streets are so dangerous, isn't that a sign that they are not doing their jobs properly? Moreover, shouldn't we be equipped with something to protect ourselves?

I agree about the paperwork, it is ridiculous and the claims that it is to ensure a successful conviction don't hold water.

I haven't seen a beat bobby for a long, long time, except in cars, which means the police are no longer doing what they were created for, patrolling and preventing crime. If they had an excellent detection and conviction rate it may be different but 40% of crimes are never actually investigated!

<blockquote>
That said that is partly why the Police in the UK are amongst the most professional officers in the world.
</blockquote>

I used to agree with you, less so now. The six police officers tasering that drunken man because he couldn't understand what they were asking of him, are my local bobbies. They don't look professional to me.

Yes, it looks as though the French and Germans are going to be the Kingmakers so it cannot possibly be a Briton.

While it's a good thing that Blair won't get the job, it does still mean that the position is going to be filled. From the sounds of it by someone from a small (not very influential state).

With any luck we'll have an election before it is ratified and the new Government will have a referendum, and then we'll leave the French and Germans to their Super State. Vain hope though.

Dear Charlie,
I read with interest your views on modern day policing.
Like most patriots you yearn for those bygone days where, like PC MARLOW the mere visible presence of authority was enough to pacify any wrong doing.
Those days Im afraid are long gone. Along with penny chews and The Bay city rollers.
Although I would be very surprised if PC MARLOW did actually patrol in that uniform, Im sure it would be in a quiet hamlet where everybody knows each others name,not a town.
With regards to progress, officers have been issued batons and CS and stab vests due to the threat they face in modern day policing.
Its not only knives, but EDGED weapons that cause significant injuries.
Most 'tools of the trade' that criminals use for 'protection', breaking and entering, dealing drugs are edged weapons. And yes given the chance they DO use them on officers.
Im afraid PC MARLOWS cape would only offer a cetain amount of protection.
I do agree that a practical national uniform should be designed so that where ever you are in the country, Police officers look the same.
You also mention about american ideas being introduced and officers being slave to targets.

I agree. That can be said about all areas of private and public sector working though. The perverse drive to evidence every minute of the working day debilitate most areas of industry.
Typically Britain adopts certain ideas from America but leaves out the best bits. eg Officers in the US arrest suspects and hand them over to case workers and investigators. Thus enabling a swift return to patrol duties.
That is rare in GB. Police here are expected to patrol, arrest, investigate, file build, prosecute. Jack of all trades master...
That said that is partly why the Police in the UK are amongst the most professional officers in the world.

Thanks for the comment, Troll-like Kaleidoscope.

<blockquote>
Do you have any idea how these conclusions are come about? All data published by the met office is open for peer-review.
</blockquote>

Er, that's not entirely true now is it? The Met Office does not allow outside parties to view its data on global temperatures, data which stretches back decades and which is the same data on which they base their whole Global Warming Theory on.

As far as I know, and I could be wrong, just seven scientists outside of the Met Office have been allowed access to the data. None of them were sceptics, indeed the Met Office have themselves said they don't release the data in order to prevent its use in disproving their climate models! Surely if the evidence is so incontrovertible, they would allow the data to be accessed by all?

The only other institution in the world that has comparable data is NASA.

Also, not one of the climate prediction models that the Met Office, or anyone else, has released since the mid 1990s has been accurate, or anywhere near accurate. Yet the Met Office claims to be able to far better accurately predict global climate change, than local daily weather.

Finally, it isn't called Global Warming anymore, but Climate Change. Keep up. This is so that in the next five years, when temperatures worldwide have indisputably dropped, they can say that this is due to mankind irreparably damaging the earth's climate system due to carbon emissions. In other words it will be become impossible to disprove the mad cap theory, as any change (and nothing is as changeable as the whether), will be down to Climate Change, ergo carbon emissions.

If the name change doesn't strike you as odd, wait for what happens in the next few years, when cooling is used as evidence of <del datetime="2009-10-30T17:29:59+00:00">Global Warming</del> Climate Change. It is you who should wake up before you are caught out.
